In this scene, a doctor talks to a gentlewoman, about seeing Lady Macbeth starting to sleep walking since Macbeth left for war. Lady Macbeth then walks in, sleep walking, with a candle in her hand. The doctor asks why she has a candle in her hand, and the woman replies that it has been asked to be by Lady Macbeth’s bed at night. The doctor then says that her eyes are open but ‘their sense is shut.’ Which means that her eyes do not see anything. She then starts talking and her words are written down. She has a secret. She says ‘To bed!’ and leaves.
