Debate title: This house believes that the gap between that the rich the poor provides an incentive for success
Task One
I disagree with this as I don’t think there can be a drive towards success as there are people who can’t afford the luxurys that these rich people have. If anything, this could bring you down as the thought of these poor people is quite sad.
If these people have millions and millions of pounds, they don’t need extra money and therefore can donate money with out caring to much as they have a lot of excess money.
Task Two
I disagree with these three statements: • ‘Do the rich get richer and the poor get poorer’ – I disagree with this as, yes, the rich get richer as they have jobs and income, but the poor do not get poorer as they already don’t have a lot of money, so they can’t get a lot poorer.

Your argument is clear but you now need to develop your work with some logical reasoning. Have a look again at the article given out in class and select some evidence from it to support your work. Be specific.
